Year 12 & 13
This seminar has been specifically designed for AS and A Level students, helping them make the leap from GCSE to A Level studies, and to prepare them for exams and further education.
Students will experience a fast-moving and multi-media presentation which reinforces the practices that are key to becoming a successful independent learner - getting assignments in on time, utilising study periods, reading around their subjects, taking decent notes, balancing social life and studies, and understanding that revision is an ongoing process and should not be left until shortly before an exam.
They will have the opportunity of hearing first-hand from people such as a World Memory champion about the strategies he used to gain a 1st from Oxford, Olympic sports stars about motivation and visualisation, and exam markers and university students with practical advice.
This seminar is designed to be delivered by one of our instructors in your school or chosen venue and usually lasts for the duration of the morning but timings can be adjusted to suit your school's needs. We provide a master set of Students' Notes written by leading educationalists in consultation with exam markers and teachers throughout the UK.
We fully understand the complexity of taking students off-timetable and investing in an external study skills provider and, therefore, our aim is always that Maximize goes above and beyond your expectations.
